The idea for No Big Deal emerged during a conversation between Shefound’s bassist Michele and vocalist Diletta, as the band explored the direction of their third album — and how to evolve beyond the sound of their earlier work into something more personal and true to who they are now. 

Their previous material, shaped by original singer Nicole, often leaned into storytelling and literary references. When Diletta joined, she initially tried to follow that same path for the sake of continuity. The band, too, was attempting to maintain a sonic bridge between past and present. But over time, it became clear that this approach felt forced — disconnected from their current identity. 

One night, overwhelmed by questions around authenticity, image, and expectations — what should we sound like? how do we stay credible? do we need to fit a mold? — Diletta wrote the lyrics to No Big Deal in a sudden burst of clarity. The song became a cathartic release, a rejection of outside pressures and a declaration of creative freedom. 

What began as a reflection on internal band dynamics soon expanded into a broader statement. No Big Deal challenges the assumptions of the music industry, the demands of public image, and the pressure to be "on brand." It’s a defiant, unfiltered anthem about letting go of expectations and embracing what feels real — not to perform a role, but to be fully, unapologetically themselves.
