REVOLVER RECORDS
Established in 1979, Revolver is one of the oldest independent record labels in the UK. Over the course of our rich history we have built up an extensive catalogue boasting an eclectic ensemble of brilliant artists including The Stone Roses, Misfits, Scorpions, Diamond Head, Sister Sledge and UK Subs. In this time we’ve seen some significant changes in the way that music is created, presented and consumed so we too have evolved to bring the music we’re passionate about to a new generation.
Despite these changes, we still have the same philosophy we started with all those years ago: to provide opportunities and support to exciting artists that we believe have the potential to make a huge impact in the world of music.
LABEL NETWORK
Over the years, we have operated under a variety of different brands to fit the diverse range of genres we have been interested in releasing. These include:
Heavy Metal Records – HMR was actually the first of the Revolver family to be formed all the way back in 1978 and has been staple in the Metal scene for all those decades. Still in operation today our Sister label has shown no signs of slowing down with exciting, new Metal releases always around the corner.
FM Records – Home to our dance, jazz and electronic releases FM Records has fulfilled a very important role over the last 40 years bringing the public some of our most successful content such as Magnum and White Sister.
Black Records – Predominantly an Indie/Punk brand Black Records was always on the cutting edge of the alternative music scene even giving The Stone Roses their big break with the Sally Cinnamon release.
