“Rock’s last bandit, Tyla, is back with another opus; this time a seven-tracker, half of which appears to have been recorded by the final incarnation of his old act, The Dogs D’Amour. Again, the inimitable Wolverhampton vagabond pours heart, soul and Jack Daniels over a flamboyant collection of ballads and rockers which defy sonic trends. Then again, on their recent tour, The Wildhearts have been playing a version of the old Dogs nugget “Heroin.” So watch out for future side items such as “Who The Bleein’ Hell Were Dogs D’Amour?”
