Picture the scene; it’s 1990, The Stone Roses have just played Spike Island, the Happy Mondays are about to release Step On and the British indie scene is alive and kicking. In step Crazyhead, a Leicester based band with more social awareness and garage rock stylings than that of their main contemporaries. Everything’s Alright is the lead single from Some Kind Of Fever, Crazyhead’s second album, marking their real statement of intent to be right up there with the best of the scene. Sounding like a cross between The Smiths and The Stone Roses was certainly not a bad way to go, and this single was catchier than some of those bands best. What an introduction.
