Sammy Hagar – Street Machine

Sammy Hagar Street Machine

Before “The Red Rocker,” became the face and voice of Van Halen, he was a successful solo artist in his own right. This, his 4th studio album was reissued in 1986 to coincide with joining Van Halen and it showed Hagar at his most prolific. Street Machine was originally released in 1979 and this is pure rock and roll. It’s a contemporary take on the genre’s roots, with it’s simple blues structure doing all the work effortlessly. This is a fantastic album in it’s own right, it didn’t need his later forays into rock to sell it then and it still doesn’t now.

For fans of: Van Halen, Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith
