Taken from the album Loud, Brotherman is a wonderfully constructed piece of 90’s reggae from Bass Dance. While some bands play reggae in a standard format, Bass Dance tried to push the sound, introducing guitar solos that Slash would be proud of. While their career was shortlived, Bass Dance showed that more could be done with the traditional reggae formula, while not straying too far from their roots. Brotherman was a perfect way to lead into the album.
