Shake It Down

Garrie And The Roosters Shake It Down

WKFM54 (1985)

While most bands were looking and sounding like something from the future, Garrie & The Roosters were going back to the future with an album dedicated to the original rock n’ roll genre. Shake It Down sees Garrie croon and swing his way over some fantastically retro numbers, all original in origin, which just adds to the quality. This was the bands only album, while members of the band went on to join Cock Sparrer and Yaz, but it is certainly a blast from the past without the need for embarrassment.

For fans of: Elvis Presley, Foxboro Hot Tubs, Eddie Cochran
